Tres Andreas
Welcome to Tres Andreas
Nestled along the shores of Presa Cajon de Peña, surrounded by the jungle-shrouded Sierra Madres and Jalisco’s thriving agricultural countryside, lies our intimate getaway —Tres Andreas.
Just 2 hours south of Puerto Vallarta, our rustic sanctuary invites you into slow spaciousness… where wide-open skies, river-fed waters, the rhythms of the land, and traditional Mexico shape every moment.
We’ve Arrived!
Now living on site, we’ve begun our new venture and have started the thoughtful process of bringing Tres Andreas fully to life in a way that honors and protects its stunning natural surroundings. Over the next year, we’ll be refreshing existing spaces and carefully tending to our lakeside property while obtaining all the necessary ecological surveys and appropriate building permits.
In addition to improving the structures and outdoor spaces, we have goals of adding campsite palapas, a swimming pool with a dedicated bathhouse, a homeowners' casita, a wood-fired pizza oven, and a tropical fruit orchard. It’s a stimulating, as well as challenging, new chapter in our lives and we’re approaching it with intention, care, and a deep respect for the land and community.
The Tres Andreas Vibe
Come in, slow down, and just be. Everything here invites you into that… and more. Set along La Presa’s edge, Tres Andreas is a rustic hotelito — una escapada — designed for simple, natural comfort and relaxation. The four en-suite rooms each open to private patios with outdoor kitchenettes, offering exquisite views of the water and the towering Sierra Madres.
At the heart of the property is a covered, open-air terrazzo — a relaxed gathering space with a kitchen, bar, dining area, lounge, and fire pit. With nearly 100 meters of shoreline, a boat ramp, and wide open skies reflected upon the lake, the property feels spacious, peaceful, and deeply connected to the land around it.
The Region
Tres Andreas sits within Presa Cajon de Peña’s protected ecological reserve, a region known for its sweeping natural beauty and authentic Mexican charm. The area’s pace is peaceful and unhurried, surrounded by orchards of tropical fruits, fields of blue agave, large cattle ranches, and the dramatic rise of the Sierra Madres.
A local fisherman’s cooperative brings fresh fish daily to the table of every restaurant on its shores. The communities and conveniences of nearby towns keep you connected to local culture, fresh food, and warm hospitality. It’s a place where nature leads, and where life still moves at a gentler pace.
Fun & Adventure
Days at Tres Andreas can be as relaxed or as adventurous as you choose. You can explore the lake by kayak or with a local guide, reel in memories casting a line, hike upriver to take a plunge in seasonal waterfall pools, take a short drive to visit the alluring beaches of Costalegre, scan the skies for over 200 species of migratory and local birds, or simply relax in a hammock and listen to the sounds of the surrounding jungle.
If any of these activities pique your interest, let us know, and we’ll make the arrangements.
